Facebook’s Oversight Board announced rulings on content violation for the first time last week. The twenty-member panel overturned four cases involving nudity and hate speech.
These judgments come just a few weeks after the assault on the US Capitol, which triggered a series of suspensions, including content (e.g. Stop the Steal; Hang Mike Pence), server support for social media platform Parler (Amazon, Apple), and President Trump’s social media accounts
While the actions and related content were likely isolated to extreme-Right groups, conservatives across the board are upset their talking points are now discounted or censored.
